In line with
speculations, Xiaomi has finally unveiled the Mi 4c smartphone. The phone
features a 5-inch 1080p display and its Sunlight Display is said to offer
"excellent visibility in bright conditions".
The Xiaomi Mi
4c is priced at RMB 1299 (around Rs 13,500) for 2GB RAM and 16GB Flash, and RMB
1499 (around Rs 15,500) for 3GB RAM and 32GB Flash. The phone will be available
on mi.com from September 23.
Xiaomi's new
dual-SIM 4G Mi 4c smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808
processor and includes the USB Type-C connector with Quick Charge 2.0 fast
charging. The company is also offering a USB Type-C adapter to make any micro
USB cable compatible with the Type-C port. It will be able for RMB 5 (around Rs
50).
It comes with a
13 megapixel rear camera with a dual-tone flash and a 5 megapixel wide-angle
front camera.
According to Xiaomi, the new phone comes
with a built-in IR blaster that supports over 2000 appliances including dSLR
cameras.
The Mi 4c includes a wide range of
gestures. For instance, double tap to wake up the screen. Also, it supports
Edge Tap at both sides of the Mi 4c that respond to light taps. For example,
double tap to go back and single tap to snap a photo in Camera.
The new phone measures 7.8 mm thick has
weighs 132 grams. It is packed with a 3080 mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Mi 4c, which looks more or less
like the Mi 4i, currently ships with MIUI 6, but the company says that the
latest MIUI 7 update for the new phone will be rolled out it in a few weeks.
It will be available in cool white, grey,
pink, yellow, and blue colours.
