Hike Messenger has introduced new free
group voice calling service allowing up to 100 people in a call. The group
voice calling can be initiated with a click of a single button once inside a
group chat. Hike is introducing the feature on Android and will roll out to iOS
and Windows Phone later this year.
Once inside an existing group chat, users
can tap on the Hike call button to start using the feature. Hike calls every
member of the group and the moment a person gets connected, the call starts.
This is similar to conference calls but over Internet protocol.
“Many of us at hike were quite frustrated
by how hard it is to make a Group Call today. Adding someone to an already
existing call is extremely tedious and even starting a conference call is quite
a painful process. Today we’re going to change that with the introduction of
Group Calls on Hike. Now with the tap of a single button, you can connect up to
100 people in one call," said Kavin Bharti Mittal, Founder and CEO, hike
messenger.
Hike had recently introduced 4.0 update
with over 10 new features. With the launch of group calling feature, hike has
dropped the beta tag on VoIP feature. Group calling on hike has been aimed at
students and families who love to chat in groups.
