Top bike launches of 2015

1. Bajaj Pulsar RS200

Based on the concept version of SS400 shown at the Auto Expo 2014, Bajaj also launched their new flagship model, RS200.

This is the first full fairing bike from Bajaj ever which also comes with single channel ABS system.

The bike is available in two variants; with and without ABS.

This year, Bajaj launched two new tourer variants of their Pulsar known as AS150 and AS200 respectively. As their name suggests, one variant has an all-new 16.7bhp, 150cc engine while the AS200 has a 23bhp, 200cc liquid-cooled engine.

These semi fairing bikes have projector headlamps and share same body platform.


6. Ducati Scrambler


 
This year, we also saw re-entry of brand Ducati in India along with the Scrambler which is currently the most affordable Ducati available in India with prices starting from INR 6.78lakhs.

The bike is powered by the 803cc, L-twin cylinder engine which has a power and torque output of 73.8bhp and 68Nm respectively.


8. Honda CBR650F



At the Revfest, Honda this year launched the CBR650F which is specifically designed for Indian market keeping the high demand of entry level full fairing bikes in mind.

The bike is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four cylinder engine which churns out a peak power and torque of 85.8bhp and 62.7Nm respectively.

11. Kawasaki Ninja H2



This was the most anticipated hyper performance bike launched this year.

Priced at Rs 29 lakhs, the road version of the bike is equipped with a 998cc, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which has a power and torque output of 197bhp and 133.5Nm respectively.

Mahindra also launched its much awaited Mojo after spending years of research on it.

This twin headlamp naked styled motorcycle comes equipped with a 295cc, one cylinder engine which has a power and torque output of 26.8bhp and 29.4Nm respectively.

17. Suzuki Gixxer SF



The Gixxer SF is currently the most affordable full fairing bike available in India. Riding high on the success of their naked model, Gixxer, Suzuki launched its fairing model this year.

The bike has the same 155cc, 14.6bhp SEP engine from Gixxer with improved aerodynamics.


19. Suzuki GSX-S1000/F



The Japanese giant launched two of its new age bikes this year, GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F. The S-1000 is the naked bike whereas the F is the fairing version of the same bike for better aerodynamics.

Both bikes are powered by the same 999cc, in-line four cylinder, 140bhp engine which was used in GSX-R1000(2005-2008) and has been fine-tuned for these bikes.

This year Triumph has increased its portfolio with launch of new range of Tiger motorcycles which also includes Tiger XR which makes it the most affordable Tiger in India.

24. Yamaha FZF-R3



The R3 has been priced quite competitively at INR 3.25lakhs. This is Yamaha’s first CKD import in India which is equipped with a newly developed 321cc, parallel twin cylinder engine which churns out a peak power and torque of 41bhp and 30Nm respectively.
